Copy of Applications 2014-2015

Page history last edited by cbennett 10 years, 1 month ago

You have qualified academically for membership in the Wamogo Chapter of the National Honor Society.

Please follow the following procedures:

Complete the National Honor Society Application which is a Google Doc Template online. (CLICK HERE)

    •  Write a 200-400 word essay explaining why you want to become a member of the National Honor Society and what you feel you can contribute to this organization (notice this is THE question).  It is important that you give this some serious thought, that you answer the question and that you present yourself well in this essay, both in content and execution.
    • This essay is completed on the application.

  Rename the National Honor Society Application Template with your last name:

    • This application represents you to the Faculty Council – they will not consider any information that is not provided by you – in fact, they might not even know you.  It is critical that you present as much information as possible!
    • Contact information must be provided for community service outside of school, as we will contact these references to verify your service.
    • After reviewing each application, the members of the faculty council determine which of the candidates satisfy the remaining three qualities of character, leadership and citizenship.

Candidates should be aware that there will be a 10 hour service requirement for members.

  • Print out the NHS Application Signature form;

  • Upload the completed National Honor Society Application that you have renamed and place it in the GOOGLE FOLDER .

  • Submit the signed copy of the the NHS Application Signature form and submit to Ms. Bennett in English Office no later than the end of the school day on Wednesday, April 9, 2014.

  •  Late applications will not be accepted.

If you have any questions regarding how to best complete your application, please come to see me as quickly as possible.  I am happy to help you in any way I can.

Again, congratulations on earning this academic recognition.

Ms. Colette M. Bennett

National Honor Society Adviser
